Freedom, nation, honor, and passion are all words that come to mind when I think of these words. One man must lose all he holds dear in order to rescue his best friend.

The plot takes place in 1885 and involves a British officer (Heath Ledger) who resigns his position after learning about his regiment’s plans to ship out to Sudan for the Mahdi war. Four white feathers, which reflect cowardice, are sent to him by his friends and fiancée. To reclaim his reputation, he disguises himself as an Arab and saves the lives of those who have labeled him a coward in secret.
