The film is based on a true tale.
Francesc Boix, a Spanish filmmaker incarcerated in the Mauthausen-Gusen death camp, is a member of the SS Photographic Service. Between 1943 and 1945, he hides thousands of negatives with the aid of other inmates in order to expose the liberated world the Nazis’ massacres, which are meticulously recorded. At the Nuremberg Trials, he would be a central witness.
