Jean-Etienne Fougerole is a bohemian philosopher who published his latest book “”In Open Arms”” urging the richest to accept families in need at home. In a TV discussion, when promoting his novel, his rival mocked him for not applying what he himself supports. Though trapped, for fear of discreditation Jean-Étienne Fougerole welcomes the challenge. The same evening a Roma family knelt at the door of his villa in Marnes-la-Coquette and the writer felt compelled to live in them.
