Overview

As an asteroid tries to crash with Earth, NASA Administrator Dan Truman decides that the best way to save it is to dig into the crust and detonate a nuclear weapon. This takes him to famed driller Harry Stamper, who offers to direct the risky space mission on the condition that he can carry his own hotshot crew along with him. The cocky A.J. is one of them, and Harry believes he isn’t nice enough for his daughter until the mission shows otherwise.
