Coop and Remer, two Milwaukee losers, concoct a modern basketball game based on baseball laws. As the game becomes a big hit, they form the Professional Basketball League with the aid of a billionaire, where everybody gets the same pay and no team will move cities. Their squad is the only one remaining in the way of big rule reforms proposed by the owner of a competing team.
