An urban hotel in London serves as a meeting place and flashpoint for legal and undocumented immigrants trying to make a new life. Senay, a Turkish lady, and Okwe, a Nigerian doctor who works as a night porter at the hotel, are among the immigrants. The two learn that the hotel is a platform for a variety of illegal acts. Their only desire is to stop deportation. When Okwe is called to install a toilet in one of the houses, he becomes more involved in the situation.
