Elena is a lady of a certain age who lives in an elegant apartment in Moscow with her affluent businessman Vladimir. While Vladimir is alienated from his daughter, he does not disguise his disdain for Elena’s own brother, who seems to require continuous support. As Vladimir unexpectedly becomes ill and his erratic nihilistic daughter returns, Elena has to have a roadmap for survival by herself.
