Professor Phillip Brainard, an absent-minded professor, works with his assistant Weebo to develop a drug that can save Medfield College, where his sweetheart Sara is president, by creating a new supply of energy. Professor Brainard has already postponed two weddings, and on the afternoon of his third wedding, he invents flubber, which encourages things to pass across the air.
