Overview
It’s 1949 in Los Angeles. Mickey Cohen, a ruthless Brooklyn-born mafia boss, rules this area, reaping the ill-gotten profits from cocaine, weapons, prostitution, and — if he has his way — any wire bet made west of Chicago. And he manages it all with the help of not just his own hired assassins, but also the cops and lawmakers that are under his command. And the bravest, most street-hardened officer can be intimidated… Except for a select group of LAPD outsiders headed by Sgt. John O’Mara and Jerry Wooters, who have banded together to attempt to shatter Cohen’s universe.
