It’s time to party all the way from the Delta to the DMZ!

Adrian Cronauer, a radio comedian, is sent to Vietnam to inject some levity into the soldiers’ lives. Cronauer delights the G.I.s after setting up store, but his commanding officer, Sergeant Major Dickerson, is taken aback by his irreverent view of the battle. Cronauer pursues a romance with a Vietnamese girl called Trinh, who shows him the atrocities of war firsthand, while Dickerson tries to censor Cronauer’s broadcasts.
