The only thing that surpassed their love for America was their love for each other.
When a war breaks out between the area’s poor immigrants and rich cattle farmers, Harvard graduate James Averill is the sheriff of affluent Jackson County, Wyoming. With the aid of Nathan Champion, a mercenary vying with Averill for the attention of local madam Ella Watson, the politically connected ranch owners battle the immigrants. When the fight intensifies, Averill and Champion decide to second-guess their choices.
