Charlie is discharged from a mental institution and reunites with Miranda, the teenage daughter he abandoned. Charlie claims there is gold concealed under the nearby Costco, so he devises a strategy to find it. He obtains a key by persuading Miranda to quit her position at McDonald’s to serve at the wholesale store instead. Miranda, despite her skepticism, assists her father in his irrational search.
