Overview
Former bohemian and struggling author Marcel Marx has abandoned his creative aspirations and moved to the port city of Le Havre. He lives a comfortable life with his wife Arletty, his favorite pub, and a not-so-profitable job as a shoeshiner. Marcel’s route crosses with an underage undocumented immigrant from Africa who wants Marcel’s protection to escape from the cops when Arletty becomes severely ill.
