Chemist Paul Matthews, who has had bad luck with dating, seeks assistance from gypsy Madame Rosa. She quickly realizes he’s a miserable geek and gives him Love Potion No. 8, which renders someone who wears it for four hours attractive to the opposite sex. Paul and his coworker Diane Farrow, an animal psychologist, plan to put it to the test. The uncomfortable couple finds themselves seducing everyone they meet, however they quickly discover they are most drawn to each other.
