George Washington McLintock, old, rich, rancher and self-made guy, has to contend with various personal and professional problems. All seems to want a slice of his huge estate, including top government leaders, McLintock’s own sons and local Americans. When McLintock attempts to juggle his numerous opponents, his wife—who abandoned him two years earlier—retires unexpectedly. But she doesn’t want George; she needs her daughter’s custody.
