Vee Delmonico, a hardworking high school senior, is fed up with being on the bench. Vee agrees to play the famous video game Nerve after being persuaded by friends to do so for a single dare in what seems to be harmless fun. However, when she becomes engrossed in the adrenaline rush of the competition, paired with an enigmatic man, the game starts to take a dark turn, with increasingly risky acts, bringing her to a high-stakes finale that will decide her whole existence.
