Billy Ray Lancing, a Vietnam veteran and former CSA agent who now works on a wildlife refuge in Northern Alaska, has been exchanging letters with Irina Morawska, a 13-year-old orphaned girl in Poland whom he is financially supporting. As the letters stop arriving, Billy travels to Poland to find out why, only to learn that the orphanage where Irina was living, which is supported by good-hearted — though unsuspecting — Samaritans, is really a front for a sex trafficking ring.
