Overview of the Situation
1997, Algiers. Terrorism organisations control the nation and are attempting to create an Islamic and archaic society. Women are especially vulnerable to primitive diktas, which threaten to seize ownership over their bodies and restrict their movement across public spaces. As a frantic search for women is underway, Nedjma, a young student with a passion for fashion, is determined to unite the girls on her campus in order to stage a fashion show that defies all odds.
