Andie is an outcast, preferring to spend her time with either her older boss, who runs the record shop where she works, or her eccentric high school classmate Duckie, who has a crush on her. As Blane, one of the school’s wealthy and famous students, asks Andie out, it sounds too sweet to be true. Andie realizes that pursuing someone from a diverse social sphere is difficult when she falls in love with Blane.
