Overview
The Massacre of St. Bartholomew took place on the night of August 24, 1572. A religious conflict is underway in France. A coercive wedding is planned between Margot de Valois, the sister of the immature Catholic King Charles IX, and the Hugenot King Henri of Navarre in order to enforce reconciliation.
