Troubled teen Jim Stark is expected to have a clean start after heading to a new place, but being the new kid in town comes with its own set of issues. Stark develops a friendship with a troubled classmate, Plato, and falls for local girl Judy while looking for some peace. Judy, on the other hand, is Buzz’s girlfriend from the neighborhood. The new kid’s real problems begin when Buzz approaches him and challenges him to a drag race.
