The planet is indeed grieving the defeat of the Man of Steel after his fatal fight with the monster Doomsday in the aftermath of The Death of Supermen. However, as soon as his corpse is put to rest, four new Superman shield bearers step up to pick up the mantle. Superboy, Steel, and the Cyborg Superman are all attempting to fill the void created by the world’s greatest athlete. In the meanwhile, Superman’s demise has sent a message to the world that Earth is in danger. Will these current Supermen and the majority of the heroes be able to disprove them?
