The truth is stranger than fiction.
Barbara Baekeland’s friendship with her only sibling, Antony, is the subject of this investigation into a well-known controversy from the 1970s. Barbara, a depressed social climber who is unhappily married to Brooks Baekeland, a rich yet distant plastics descendant, adores Antony, who is gay. The foundation for a murderous disaster is set when Barbara attempts to “”cure”” Antony of his sexuality, even by seducing him herself.
