The tale of Elliot Tiber and his relatives, who unwittingly contributed to the legendary Woodstock Music and Arts Festival being the phenomenon that it was. As Elliot learns that a nearby town has revoked a hippie music festival permit, he contacts the organizers in the hopes of generating some much-needed revenue for his parents’ run-down hotel. Three weeks later, half a million people are en route to Elliot’s neighbor’s farm in White Lake, New York, and he finds himself engulfed in a generation-defining event that would fundamentally transform his life–and American culture.
