The destiny of humanity hangs in the balance after the evil Sardo Numspa kidnaps a Tibetan boy, the magical Golden Child. The priestess Kee Nang searches for the Chosen One, who would rescue the boy from destruction, on the other side of the planet in Los Angeles. Nang seeks out social worker Chandler Jarrell’s skills after seeing him on television about his abilities to locate lost children, amid his cynicism about being “”chosen.””
