Gong Yutian finds a successor for his kin in Southern China, and Ip Man’s happy life in Foshan is disrupted. Ip Man is then confronted by Gong Er, who confronts him in order to reclaim her family’s name. Ip Man relocates to Hong Kong after the Second Sino-Japanese War and struggles to support his kin. Meanwhile, after her father was murdered by Ma San, Gong Er takes the road of revenge.
