Overview

Marnie Minervini has happily moved from New Jersey to Los Angeles to be near her daughter Lori, a wealthy (but still single) screenwriter, and smother her with motherly affection. She has a new iPhone, an apartment near the Grove, and a stable bank account left to her by her beloved late husband. Marnie seeks opportunities to use her everlasting hope and forceful generosity to transform the lives of others – as well as her own – and discover a new direction in life when scores of calls, surprise trips, and interactions driven by unsolicited suggestions push Lori to draw tight personal boundaries.
