Overview

Two young states collide in the year 1250 B.C., during the late Bronze Period. Helen, Queen of Sparta, is persuaded by Paris, the Trojan prince, to abandon her husband Menelaus and sail with him back to Troy. When Menelaus learns that his wife has been kidnapped by the Trojans, he asks his brother Agamemnom for assistance. Agamemnon sees this as a chance to gain control. Then they set out for Troy with 1,000 ships carrying 50,000 Greeks. The Greeks are able to beat the Trojans for the first time thanks to Achilles’ assistance.
