The shore has been toasted.

A calm Los Angeles morning is shattered by an earthquake that creates a deep fissure in the ground, allowing lava to start bubbling up. When a volcano threatens to form in the La Brea Tar Pits, the city’s disaster response officer, in collaboration with a geologist, must employ all available resources to prevent the volcano from swallowing LA.
