Overview

During the 1960s in Shirleyville, Vermont, sisters Merricat and Constance, along with their ailing uncle Julian, who is confined to a wheelchair, live alone in a large mansion on the hill overlooking the village, tormented by memories of a family tragedy six years earlier.
