Overview

Moonrise Kingdom is a film set in the summer of 1965 on an island off the coast of New England that tells the tale of two twelve-year-olds who fall in love, make a hidden deal, and run away together into the desert. A violent hurricane is raging off-shore as numerous officials struggle to track them down, and the tranquil island culture is flipped upside down in more respects than anybody can cope.
