Nada, a wanderer without a purpose in existence, finds a pair of sunglasses that can reveal the truth about the universe. When he marches down the streets of Los Angeles, Nada realizes that both the media and the government use subliminal messaging to hold the public in check, and that the socioeconomic class are still skull-faced aliens intent on world dominance. Nada struggles to free humans from the mind-controlling aliens after making this surprising revelation.
