The tale of a virtuoso pianist who spends his whole life on a cruise ship. 1900 (Tim Roth) was born and raised on the ship, learning about the outer world through encounters with passengers and never leaving it, except for the love of his life. Years afterwards, the ship could be sunk, and a former band member worries that 1900 could already be on shore, ready to perish with it.
